Today was a day to remember. Belize is indeed beautiful. We booked online and paid cash when we got picked up from port in Belize city. We saw the buses going one after the next and was happy we had a private tour for half the price. Rick was our guide and he made our cruise excursion fun and memorable. He told us about Belize along the way to the park and all about the jungle while we walked towards the cave entrance. Our group was just the 8 of us and that was the maximum amount of persons a guide can take. He took good care of our group, a bunch of old ladies. It was my birthday cruise and I’m happy to have spent the day in Belize with Rick. We did zipline first. The lines were high above the forest floor, about 7 of them. The guides were nice and kept us safe. This is something I would definitely do again. The cave was awesome. The water was a bit cold and low but refreshing. Our tubes were very comfortable. It had a backrest and a cup holder. Our lights wern’t the best but Rick had a very bright light that lit the way passing waterfalls inside. He showed us crystal formations and cave bats high above our heads. Lunch wasn’t included but Rick recommended a restaurant were we stopped and had rice and beans and stewed chicken. We definitely had to tip him good for his hard work pulling us through the cave and driving us safely back to port. Thanks again. Hope you keep up the good work.

Fun trip but it was a bit crowded. We glad we didn’t book through our ship. I saw groups going through the cave like herding cattles. We had our guides from start to finish. The water was low since it hadn’t rained for some time. Make sure you take your own water shoes.
